The QdT MEDEL is made, in accordance with RFI Technical specifications LF610C and LF612B completely in steel AISI 304 with a 3b segregations form and Outdoor IP65 protection.
The entire mechanics is designed to withstand stresses created by high-speed trains, 10800 pressure/depression cycles at 5kPa are necessary for pass the tests described in the specifications.
Powered by a three-phase line without neutral, in derivation in/out, guarantees, even in the absence of main, a sufficient autonomy to the operation of Emergency services in the tunnel; this thanks to two supercapacitors UPS specifically dedicated.
A PLC, with an appropriate supervision system, manages controls and network protections. Furthermore, through a communication interface dedicated every QdT communicates with a Front End that monitors the entire gallery and, in conveyed waves, communicates with the emergency lamps system.
The QdP MEDEL, adapted to provide the power for the 1000Vac lines inside railway tunnels of the Rete Ferroviaria Italiana S.p.a., is made according to the specifications and RFI LF610C LF613B.
In particular, through a PLC and a dedicated interface communication, it is at the service of security features, selection of sector failure, automatic power reconfiguration of 1000Vac and lighting management.
It, too, as the QdT, is fully realized in steel AISI 304 with protection class IP31 for the preventing the penetration of foreign objects.
The MEDEL QdP for tunnels between 500 and 1000m, designed to improve safety in the railway tunnels, of the Rete Ferroviaria Italiana Spa, both in operation and under construction or in the state of planning, including those of the new AV / AC lines.
In particular, the QdP is an integral part of the power supply system of the tunnel emergency lighting system.
The QdP is made according to the latest technical specifications RFI LF611B and LF617B.
Also, like the QdT MEDEL, it is made entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel with an IP65 protection rating to prevent the penetration of water and foreign objects.
